Early Childhood Programs

Let's Learn Beyond the Limits

Our Story

Across East Baton Rouge Parish, a powerful network is shaping the future — one child at a time.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Early Childhood Community Network unites 36 public elementary schools, dedicated Pre-K/K centers, City of Baker Schools, charter and private partners, Head Start and Early Head Start programs, more than 100 Type III early learning centers and academically-approved family child care providers, and the Louisiana School for the Deaf & Visually Impaired. Together, this diverse coalition shares one bold mission: ensuring that every child enters kindergarten ready to succeed.

Since 2014, our network has driven this mission forward through five key strategies — unifying expectations for high-quality early learning, strengthening educators through professional development, measuring and recognizing progress, funding excellence and providing families with clear information and high-quality choices.

When a community aligns around its youngest learners, success begins long before the first day!
